As the natural hair movement started to gain traction ten years ago, my client began expressing a desire to embrace their texture. For the first time in our culture, the curls and the kinks we were born with was seen as something beautiful. I wanted to create a way for women to transition using protective styles that didn't require heat or chemical processing. I envisioned a collection with the perfect match for any and every natural texture - one that would celebrate, not conceal, our unique beauty. In 2012, Heat Free Hair was born.
Today, over half a million women around the world have revealed the versatility in all that it means to be natural.

Wow, I am so impressed by the for Kinks Empress wig! It matches my hair to a “t”. I’m happy with this Christmas present to myself
After washing and conditioning there was little to no shedding, I’m talking at most 4 strands! Also, the unit is incredibly light, after trying on, it really just feels like I’m wearing a satin cap. I’m really looking forward to wearing out.
Even accounting for the high volume notification, shipping was fast. I received my unit less than a week after placing my order. Packaging is exquisite and I love the hand-addressed company/product info that came with the wig.
I think I’m going to be a HFHM fan for life!
This is my second HFH purchase. My first purchase was the For Kurls Empress U-part Wig and I so impressed with the quality of hair I purchased the For Kinks Empress Wig full cap unit. This wig is a lot different than my For Kurls in that it requires a little more maintenance. The hair mimics 4b/4c to the “t” and like 4 b/4c hair the texture is beautiful. The volume of the unit is really full and the length is little longer than my For Kurls Empress wig which is probably due to the difference in curl patterns. The hair does shed a little during washing and conditioning which can be expected with this curl pattern but the shedding is not excessive. The unit itself is well constructed and comfortable to wear. I have worn this wig as a wash and go, a twist out, and braid out and always receive compliments on my “natural hair.” All this said, the quality of the hair is impeccable and step above the rest. I will be purchasing from HFH again.

I was looking for something
I was looking for something to give my natural hair a break, especially during the colder weather. I came across this line and loved how natural the wigs looked. After purchasing the Royal Empress wig, I have no regrets. I dyed it so that it blended more with my hair and the textures matched up perfectly. The wig was a bit fuller than I expected, but I could live with that. This wig will definitely help my achieve my hair length goals and I plan on wearing it throughout the year!
