SENIOR BRAND MARKETING MANAGER 

N-ZO Beauty is looking for a Senior Brand Marketing Manager to take our brand’s awareness and customer experience to the next level! This person will own, create and execute 360-degree marketing initiatives across all consumer touch points focused on building brand consideration, acquiring new customers, re-engaging lapsed customers, and doubling down on our current customer base to drive future brand growth. The best candidate will have an integrated marketing skill set - they can see the big picture while also exhibiting a scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeve spirit. The SBMM will be joining a lean and growing startup, so this particular candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a unique balance of creative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, outstanding copywriting skills, and a can-do attitude are a must.


Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with CEO to ideate & execute integrated marketing strategies to drive new customer acquisition, long-term loyalty, brand awareness & revenue
  • Chief Brand Storyteller - translate brand messaging and marketing initiatives across paid, owned, earned, and shared media
  • Build and maintain brand marketing analytics reports and presentations to measure KPI performance across channels
  • Lead 360 go-to-market campaigns for new product launches & core product portfolio— briefing teams on goals, project managing timelines, getting sign off on plans, communicating key updates, etc...
  • Manage Email and Digital marketing agencies to streamline process and increase revenue generation
  • Focus on continuously improving the social media experience for our followers by engaging with and overseeing the community management of all inbound social volume and amplification of posts
  • Build PR and Influencer strategy to position brand as buzz-worthy -including developing micro/macro engagement initiatives

Requirements for Success:

  • 7-8+ years of marketing experience in both acquisition and retention, beauty is preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams with a high degree of independence
  • Impeccable project management, organization, copywriting, and overall communication skills plus attention to detail
  • Experience in building & driving 360 go-to-market campaigns
  • Must possess an in-depth email marketing knowledge and experience, SMS testing a plus
  • Skilled in understanding data & using it to optimize marketing strategies
  • Ability to work independently & collaboratively across multiple projects
  • Demonstrate an understanding of social media & consistently up to date with trends & culture
  • Experience managing and developing junior level subordinates, maximizing their productivity and success
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
  • Google Analytics/Shopify/Klaviyo experience a plus

DIRECTOR OF SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

N-ZO Beauty is looking for a Director of Sales and Business Development to actualize our expansion goals to create an omni-channel presence in the market! You will own the development of a new sales department, strategize and implement the best ways to increase brand awareness and revenue, set sales objectives, find and engage new accounts, manage the full sales cycle, and serve as company ambassador for brand relationships. You are the best fit if you have a holistic sales approach that includes; thorough market research, negotiation skills to maximize profits, relationship building for long-term growth, and problem-solving for process efficiency. Beyond sales experience, we need a strong leader who is an independent thinker, a market listener, and a natural relationship builder to maneuver the company into new sales channels. You will join an agile but small team where “we are our departments”, so an entrepreneurial spirit, innate passion, and a solution-oriented focus will make you successful.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for conducting the entire sales process; research and discover new account opportunities, pitch products, manage the sale, build and maintain account relationships
  • Create, coordinate, and execute sales pitches showcasing product/market value to small and medium-sized retailers, investors, and affiliates
  • Lead the development of a new sales department to include; setting objectives, budget creation and management, guide sales team expansion, and other duties to support sales growth
  • Work cross-functionally with CEO to strategize revenue opportunities and Company Directors to launch related initiatives
  • Conduct post-sale win/loss analysis to inform sales process and product improvements strategies and decisions
  • Develop and implement account generation plans and new sales pipelines to secure purchase orders
  • Research, learn and understand first-hand the product portfolio to effectively conduct demos, provide a deep overview to customers, and influence sales and reordering
  • Cultivate and nurture strong communication channels for multiple retail partnerships and external teams

Requirements for Success:

  • 5+ years of direct B2B sales experience and account management with knowledge of competitive wholesale markets
  • Direct ownership/experience with creating and executing effective sales proposals in varying formats to business groups or individuals
  • Highly developed and distinguished negotiation skills used to influence sales and optimize profits
  • Proven track record with transactional and consultative selling strategies that can close the deal and establish long term relationships
  • Success using market research and analytical skills to find new business opportunities to maximize sales
  • Experience managing and directing small budgets and teams to drive department success
  • Strong confidence with sales capabilities to build a client/customer portfolio without an established book of business
  • Self-motivated and proactive problem solver who operates effectively and independently, even in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Powerful, communication, presentation, and organizational skills used to move project timelines forward and yield results
  • Ability to learn independently and absorb knowledge quickly
  • Existing retail/wholesale relationships in the beauty industry are a plus

These full-time roles are preferred to be based in Washington, DC, but there is flexibility to be remote.
